Behind the scenes
How I built this site
I design complex systems for a living, so I built my portfolio as one: a small operating system with windows, tabs, a Dock and a Trash full of real design decisions.
Why a desktop
Most portfolios scroll the same way. A desktop lets you explore my work the way you’d explore a product, and it shows how I think about navigation, state and hierarchy, not just screens.
How I built it
I moved off Framer and built it in code with Claude Code, an AI coding agent. I directed every decision, from the Dock’s magnification to how tabs remember their history, and reviewed it in the browser as it came together. It runs on Astro and React, hosted on Vercel.
Details I cared about
- Windows never grow taller than your screen, and refit when you resize it.
- Each browser tab keeps its own history and scroll position.
- Classified screens are blurred before upload, so the sharp originals never reach your browser.
- Phones get a simple, fast page instead of a cramped desktop.
- Your desktop arrangement is remembered for your next visit.
- The Trash holds real decisions I scrapped, and politely refuses to put them back.
What it says about how I work
Just like with Revelio, where I used Lovable to ship a production-ready UI, I use AI to shorten the path from an idea to something people can actually use, and keep my own judgment on what’s worth building.
